Emergency Radiology
Emergency radiology focuses on diagnosing conditions affecting acutely ill or injured patients, often in very time-sensitive situations. Emergency radiologists are specialists in multiple modalities and are often specially trained to interpret imaging exams that are more common in urgent or emergent situations (ex: CT in traumatically injured patients, radiographs of acute medical conditions). They are able to quickly evaluate multi-system injuries and complex conditions in patients of every age.
Unlike some practices, INVISION does not outsource these time-sensitive studies to third-party radiologists who may not understand local resources or have a close working relationship with clinical colleagues. INVISION interprets all cases, certainly including emergent imaging studies, contemporaneously so that patients and referring physicians can quickly act on the professionally interpreted results of the imaging studies.
